Germany is not a country that considers fashion as the focal point of its culture. However, there are some memorable German boys clothing styles that influenced the entire European fashion industry. These are the sailor suit and the Lederhosen.
The sailor suit was a common sight on almost all German boys during the 1940s. When this trend faded, it was followed by the Lederhosen. Lederhosen literally mean “leather trousers” and its name pretty much sums up what it looks like. From the early 20th century until the present, short pants were popular boys clothes in Germany.
